Section 3: GET SETUP TO START TRADING WITHIN MINUTES

1. OPEN LIVE ACCOUNT

Your account has been verified and you can now start trading.

In the Client Portal, you are able to open a maximum of 3 Demo Accounts and 3 Live Trading Accounts. The Demo Accounts are a great place to start if you are new to trading.

When you open an account, you will receive an SMS and email notification with the trading account login details as well as the server you will need to connect to and the currency you are trading in. These details will need to be entered into the QuickTrade Metatrader 5 Trading Platform for you to be able to place a trade.

You will have the option of opening a Commission or Spreads account and can choose leverage of 1:100 or leverage of 1:500. You will also be able to choose to add JSE CFD’s to the instruments you are going to trade.

The Client Portal is also where you will be able to view an overview of all your trading accounts.

2. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL MT5

In order for you to be able to place your trades and do your analyses, you will need to download and install MetaTrader 5.

You can download and install as many copies of MetaTrader 5 as you need to on as many devices as you want. It can be easily installed on your Windows PC or iMac and MacBook computers as well as both Android and iOS.

QuickTrade holds a direct license for the use of the MetaTrader 5 trading platform with MetaQuotes Software Incorporated. We chose this platform because of its durability; it does not freeze and features the latest technology and software. There are no fees associated with the download of this application.

3. FUND YOUR ACCOUNT

If you open a Live trading account, you will not be able to place trades until your account is funded. We do not place a minimum amount on your account, you are able to start trading with whatever amount you feel comfortable with. That said, the more you fund the easier it will be for you to open a variety of positions with different lot sizes.

Funding your account can be done in the Client Portal in two different ways – Direct Deposit or through our integrated Payment Service Providers.

It is important to note that Direct Deposits are not instantly allocated to your Live account as human intervention is required to allocate these funds and this can take time and could result in frustrations as you are not able to trade immediately.

Using one of our integrated Payment Services Providers is a much faster and more secure option. Depositing money this way means that your funds are credited to your account instantly, 24 hours a day. Once you have funded a Live account, you are able to transfer funds to another Live account.
